When will summer sales 2023 start in Spain?

Although the weather is a bit off in Spain, there have been warnings about a hot summer for weeks and many are already thinking of updating their wardrobe. The summer sales are a good opportunity to renew your summer wardrobe at a good price. But, when does summer sale 2023 start?
Traditionally, summer sales were limited from 1 July to the end of August, but since the government liberalised the campaigns in 2012, each retailer sets its own periods.
In this case, it is important to consider each brand's strategies when it comes to setting their sales. Some brands advance seasonal discounts to mid-June, but only for online purchases ( through their websites and apps), and then extend the offers in physical shops.
The mass hysteria outside the doors of shops on the first day of the sale is becoming less common, but it is still important to pay close attention to the start of the sales, because during the first days it is easier to find the best prices and, above all, a greater variety of models and sizes.
Using the calendar below, you can check when the summer sales are in the different autonomous regions:
- Madrid: from 21 June to 21 September
- Comunidad Valencia: from 29 June to 5 September
- Andalusia, Asturias, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Murcia, Navarre, La Rioja, Ceuta, Melilla: 1 July to 31 August
- Aragon: 1 July to 1 September
- Cantabria, Castile-La Mancha, Galicia, Basque Country: 1 July to 30 September
- Balearic Islands: 1 July to 31 August
- Canary Islands: 1 July to 31 August
